Meet Monica, a devoted animal lover from South Florida whose journey with animals began in her youth. Her heart was always attuned to the needs of furry friends, but it was the adoption of her beloved dog, Jiji, that truly transformed her life. Since then, Monica has found her true calling in caring for animals, dedicating herself to their welfare with unwavering passion and empathy.

Now working at Chewy as a Sr. Rescue Specialist , Monica continues to make a difference in the lives of animals, advocating for their rights and providing them with the love and care they deserve. It was remarkable how our paths crossed through Monica's job, when she brought her Chewy Gives Back Team to volunteer with us and quickly developed a deep connection with our residents and mission. Now, she gracefully assumes the role of seasonal caretaker and devoted volunteer, nurturing our sanctuary during her extended stays.
