Stevie is a ~3-5 year old female ewe sheep who was rescued from a meat farm in South Florida. Stevie broke her front left leg, and immediately was destined for slaughter. We were able to raise the $200 for what they would have gotten for her meat, and rushed her straight to the emergency Vet. It cost us over $2,900+ to repeatedly cast Stevie's leg in hopes that it would heal naturally without the need for amputation. Stevie's leg healed crooked, and although she is not in pain, now she walks with a limp.

In the future Stevie will likely require a brace for assistive walking.
