Meet Manolo
Manolo is three-legged male sheep who was rescued from a farm in Miami, FL by a good Samaritan who couldn't bear to see him sold for meat. He was only a few weeks old, and his front leg was clearly broken-- So she paid $200 to negotiate his surrender, and took him home to bottle feed him. His front leg was so badly infected that they said it just "Fell Off"!!! Manolo was surrendered to us with a belly button full of necrotic tissue and open wound on his nub. We were able to start him on strong antibiotics, changing his bandages (and his diaper!) multiple times a day. Manolo lived inside the house with us for nearly a month until he was big enough/strong enough to be outside and introduced to other animals.
Manolo is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and will live out the remainder of his days here at Love Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary.
Manolo just recently had his front left horn trimmed, because it was growing into the back of his neck!! He will need routine horn/hoof trimming to prevent injuries. In the future, we hope to raise enough money to get Manolo fitted for a prosthetic leg to help him get around easier!!!
Sponsor Manolo to help underwrite the cost of his feed, hay, supplements, medications, and continuing veterinary care.
