Black Beauty was rescued from Collier County Animal Services just days after the ruins of Hurricane Ian, in an effort for us to be able to help them evacuate the local shelters. She was so sick she was covered in mites, and had nematodes (parasites) living in her eyes and nose! Black Beauty has fought through multiple bacterial/fungal infections, and 8 months after entering the rescue she finally laid her very first egg!
